Judy Bender, President of the Southside Senior Center, endorses Ash Kalra for City Council.

Thank you so much for your interest in my campaign for San Jose City Council. With collective action and cooperation, we can bring the concerns and vision of the District 2 community to City Hall. I am proud to take the opportunity to be your voice and humbly accept the heavy responsibilities that come with such an undertaking.

My family moved to San Jose 30 years ago, buying a home in South San Jose. I still live in the same neighborhood, buying a home down the street from my family a few years ago. I owe so much to this great city for providing my family with the opportunity to live a happy and healthy life. It is with immense gratitude that I have spent my entire adult life in service to the community. I ask you for the privilege to continue that service by carrying the voice of the neighborhoods to the City Council.

Over the next few weeks, I hope to meet many of you in the community to learn about the issues that most concern you. I ask you to engage me in a public discourse that can help us shape the message we take to City Hall. If you see me in your neighborhood, feel free to approach me with your concerns and questions. I am encouraged that working together, we can make this District an even better place to call home!
