Green Challenge 07-09: Educating the Community
This past October, the Volunteer Center of Silicon Valley brought their Green Challenge 07-09 to our very own Southside Community Center. Ash had learned about the Green Challenge at the kick-off event in Mountain View in the Spring. Ash helped to bring the 3rd Green Challenge event and the
1st in San Jose to our District 2 community. Green Challenge focuses on educating the community on how we can take action now to help protect the environment. The project in our District dealt with distributing high-efficiency CFL bulbs throughout the community while engaging in a
conversation with neighbors about the variety of ways they can reduce their energy consumption.
